Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Valentin Sarić (private individual, publishing as Polybook Press), Kriska 107, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia (“we”), about buying from Hidden Hungary, which sells English translations of public-domain classics.
1. What you buy
Products are digital (PDF/EPUB downloads, reading passes). Nothing physical is shipped. After payment you get the file or access by email from Polar.
2. Payment
Orders are sold and billed by our reseller Polar (polar.sh), the merchant of record, under Polar’s own terms. Polar handles payment, VAT/sales tax and invoices. Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable. Subscriptions (library passes) renew each month or year until you cancel them in the Polar customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
3. How the books are made
The books are new English translations of works that are in the public domain. Source texts come from public archives such as Project Gutenberg, Projekt Runeberg, Gallica, Aozora Bunko and national digital libraries. Translations are made with the help of AI language models and then checked by the publisher. Covers are made with AI image tools. The original authors are credited on every book.
Public domain. We only publish works whose authors died at least 70 years ago (in 1955 or earlier) and that are in the public domain in the United States — as a rule, works first published before 1931. Copyright terms differ between countries; if you believe a book is still protected where you live, please tell us and we will check it and, if needed, stop selling it there or remove it.
4. Licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive licence to read and keep what you buy, on your own devices. Please don’t resell, share publicly, or upload the files elsewhere. Public-domain source texts remain free for everyone; this licence covers our translation, editing, layout, illustrations and covers.
5. Right of withdrawal (EU)
Digital content is delivered immediately. At checkout you agree that delivery starts at once and that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the download or access has begun. Our refund policy still applies.
6. Mistakes and liability
We work carefully, but translations and AI-assisted texts can contain errors. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it and send you the corrected file. Our liability is limited to the price you paid, except where the law does not allow this.
7. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies to new purchases. Croatian law applies, without taking away rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
